First and foremost, on April 14th, all the teachers and students gathered on the playground and attended a solemn and respectful flag-raising ceremony with the theme of ‘National Security, We All Share Responsibility’, during which student Ding Muchen from Class 10, Grade 7 delivered a speech under the national flag. With a firm voice, she introduced to her classmates the significance of national security and recounted some small incidents in daily life that might involve national security, calling on everyone to start from ourselves and from the little things around us, consciously safeguard national security and jointly protect our beautiful homeland. 

Moreover, in the morning, in order to help teachers and students better understand the relevant laws and regulations on national security, Officer Ge Wei, a police officer from Laofeng Police Station of the Economic Development Zone Public Security Bureau and a legal counselor of Anqing Foreign Language School, came to the school to deliver a lecture on the ‘National Security Law of the People's Republic of China’, elaborating on the macro strategy of national security and the subtle precautions in daily life through numerous vivid cases, and presenting the ‘National Security Law of the People's Republic of China’ in an accessible and straightforward manner. As a result, it no longer appeared as obscure and incomprehensible legal provisions but became a set of behavioral norms that are truly tangible and closely related to each of us. Later on, during the interactive session, students actively participated and engaged in fruitful exchanges. Moreover, through this lecture and discussion session, not only did teachers and students learn about the knowledge of the ‘National Security Law of the People's Republic of China’, but also enhanced their awareness of the rule of law and understood that safeguarding national security is the sacred duty of every citizen.

Furthermore, in the afternoon, all classes of our school held the theme class meetings on ‘National Security Education Day’, during which teachers popularized relevant knowledge about national security to students through various forms such as playing videos, explaining cases, and knowledge quizzes. Besides, from political security, territorial security, military security to economic security, cultural security, and social security, students have gained a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of national security. 

To summarize, the implementation of this activity has created a strong atmosphere for national security publicity and education, enabling teachers and students to have a deeper understanding of national security and enhancing their awareness and ability to safeguard national security as well. Thus, Anqing Foreign Language School will take this activity as an opportunity to continuously strengthen national security education and embed the concept of national security in the hearts of teachers and students, thereby contributing to safeguarding national security and maintaining social stability.
